Is Sims 4 Kid-Friendly?

The Sims 4 is a popular life simulation game that offers players a virtual world to explore and create. Is Sims 4 kid-friendly?

In my opinion, Sims 4 is not kid-friendly due to some adult stuff that should not be played or watched by kids.

Is Sims 4 Kid Friendly?

Sims 4 is a life-simulation game that can help the player learn about how to manage a house, social interaction, empathy, time management, and problem-solving. However, it’s not always appropriate for kids because there is some adult stuff in it.

Clothing and Revealing Outfits

In The Sims 4, there is a wide range of clothing options available, including custom content created by independent developers.

Some custom content may include clothing that is more revealing or provocative.

Nudity and Sexual Content

This is the main reason why I think Sims 4 is NOT kid-friendly. There are some nudity and sexual content in the game.

When a sim takes a shower or uses the toilet, for example, although it’s blurred (censored), it can be uncomfortable to see for a young kid.

Also, remember that there is something called “woohoo” in the Sims 4. It’s a sexual activity that a player can CHOOSE (you literally have that option on the screen that you can easily click).

I feel that this thing is inappropriate to be played by a child especially when the option is already available before the sims get married.

Although it’s typically done under the bed sheet, it’s definitely not something you want your kid to watch or play.

After all, The Sims is a life simulation game and you do not want to teach your kid to have a simulation to do a sexual activity before getting married.

Is there violence in the Sims 4?

Sims may experience humorous accidents like being electrocuted by a plug, dying in kitchen fires, or getting crushed in fold-down beds.

They are generally not graphic or overly realistic. But still, these incidents may not be suitable for very young children.

Explicit Mods

Sure, there are many Sims 4 mods that are harmless, such as MCCC and Sims 4 height slider.

However, there are certain mods that introduce explicit themes. These can include nudity, drugs, rape, violence, and other content inappropriate for younger players.

In conclusion, Sims 4 is not kid-friendly. There are other games out there that are more appropriate for kids to play.
