The Sims 4 is an incredible game. But let’s face it, sometimes the base game’s traits just don’t cut it. That’s where, my friends, we need the Sims 4 More Traits Slot mod in our gameplay.
This amazing mod can add additional trait slots for your sims!
Sims 4 More Trait Slots Mod
Normally, EA lets us choose only three traits for our Sims, which can sometimes feel limiting.
However, with the Sims 4 More Traits Slot mod, the possibilities are expanded.
This thoughtful mod, crafted by thepancake1 and MizoreYukii lets your sim has more than 3 traits. Here is the list:
- Elders: 5 traits
- Adults: 5 traits
- Young Adults: 5 traits
- Teens: 4 traits
- Children: 3 traits
- Toddlers: 2 traits
How to Download this mod:
- Visit this Patreon page.
- Scroll down on that page to find the download link.
- Download the mod file to your computer (only download 1 file).
How to Install:
- Find the downloaded file in your downloads folder.
- Locate your Sims 4 mods folder on your PC. The default path is Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods.
- Drag and drop the mod file (.package) into your Mods folder.
How to Use:
On New Sims:
- Start a new household in The Sims 4.
- During Sim creation, you’ll notice additional trait slots based on the Sim’s life stage (except infant).
- Simply click on the trait slots one by one and pick the traits for your new sim.
Giving Extra Traits to an Existing Sim
You can use The Sims 4 CAS cheat!
- Open the cheat console by pressing [CTRL] + [SHIFT] + [C] on your keyboard.
- Type “testingcheats true” and press [Enter].
- Enter “cas.fulleditmode” (without quotes) and press [Enter].
- Exit the cheat console by pressing the [ESC] key.
- Hold [SHIFT] and click on the Sim you want to modify.
- From the menu, select “Modify in CAS” to access the Create-a-Sim screen inside the CAS Full Edit Mode.
- Customize your Sim’s traits by adding or changing them using the extra trait slots.
