Do you find the regular cute hair in the Sims 4 game lacking? Luckily, there is a TON of Sims 4 curly hair cc options out there.

As someone with curls, I have some pretty specific needs I want curly hair Maxis Match colors, a variety of length options and a few updos. The only place you can really find that is with custom content creators contributions to the game.

There are plenty of adorable hairstyles for those of us that need some seriously fabulous hair. Whether you want short or long, there’s Sims 4 curly hair cc options for you!

1. Editor’s pick: Nikora by Simstrouble

Nikora is probably the #1 female hair I use in my game.

To be fair, I tend to make recreations of me and this one seems to be the most like my current hair (or, more accurately, what I think it looks like.

It’s base game compatible, has 24 EA-matching swatches and works with hats. It’s worth noting it has a 14k poly count, which might not work for everyone’s devices.

2. Marcia Hair by Simstrouble

If you love a cute curled hair, Marcia is for you.

This is probably my second favorite curly hair cc — again, probably because it mimics my own hair.

This is another really pretty short curled hair that comes with 24 EA swatches.

What’s great about this particular option is that it works on both masculine and feminine frames, and it’s the perfect stay-at-home hair for your freelancer.

3. Charlotte Hair by Feral Poodles

Because I have shoulder(ish) length curly hair, I often find myself using the Charlotte Hair by Feral Poodles.

It’s short, cute and comes with a ton of colors that you can pick from.

I typically just download the EA colors to match my game, but there are an additional set of colors (45 to be exact) which gives you access to a total range of 63 colors.

4. Morgana Hair by Feral Poodles

The Morgana Hair is a short, curled hair that’s super cute if you’re looking for fun and casual curly hair.

This particular style doesn’t have quite as much curl as the other options, which is great if you just want a little tossed at the ends.

It comes with a whopping 63 swatches (18 EA and 45 of their own), and you can download them separately if you don’t want them both.

5. Gabbie Hair by Simstrouble

If you love short and spunky, the Gabbie Hair is for you.

To be honest, the picture I took doesn’t quite do it justice as it has braids on the one side and full curls elsewhere.

This look is great for everyday or special occasions (hello, sims parties!).

It works with hats and has all 24 of the EA swatches.

6. Ruby Hair by Feral Poodles

If you want short, curly and to the side, the Ruby Hair is for you.

I would almost call this a curly comb-over, but I swear the side of the hair is purposefully shaved on the side.

It has 18 EA matching colors, but if you like a little more there are 45 extra colors.

Luckily you can download them both together and separately, to make sure you have the right colored curly hair option for you.

7. Marla by Simstrouble

The Marla Hair is simple, cute and elegant.

It has a considerably more beach wave curly textures feel to me, perfect if you’re hitting up the sandy island!

This hair is base game compatible, features 24 EA swatches, and works with hats.

8. Zara Hair by AHarris00Britney

If you’re looking to add a little ombre to your game, I recommend checking out the Zara Hair.

It falls just past the shoulder, features 24 EA colors, is base game compatible and works with hats.

It’s important to note that you’ll find the ombre part of the hair under accessories (see above picture) and you have a few different color choices there too,

9. Luna Hair by Simstrouble

I really like the Luna Hair by Simstrouble. I’ve used it in a few of my games.

It’s a long curly style that features a high up half ponytail and a head band covering it.

I love it for cute, casual looks, but it’s not one of the best curly hairstyles for formal looks.

This headband has 29 swatches and can be found in gloves. It’s important to note that it’s NOT hat compatible.

10. Crawling Queen by Simstrouble

The Crawling Queen hairstyle for sims features some cute bangs.

It’s base game compatible, comes with 24 Maxis Match colors.

If you’re looking or curly hair with bangs, this is the custom content for you.

11. Junon Hair by Simstrouble

If you want a traditional head of curly hair with bags that’s not overly exaggerated, the Junon Hair is for you.

This is very curly hair custom content and I happen to love to use. It falls past the shoulder and is PERFECT for anyone looking for something longer.

12. Baddie Hair by GreenLlamas

If you want to combine a top knot with curls the Baddie Hair allows you to do that.

I’m VERY familiar with the top not and love this half-up version.

This is the perfect hairstyle for almost every occasion (it’s one I’ve commonly worn in real life) and works for all types of sims!

13. Ellie Hair by Invo-Sims

If you want a half-up hairstyle, the Ellie Hair is perfect for you.

This cute hair matches a half top-knot with shoulder-length curls.

It’s a base game compatible hair that work with hats and has ALL the default EA colors.

This hair updo is fun and features fun, loose detailed curls.

14. Joni Hair by SofterHaze

This has a very Star Wars feel for me (for obvious reasons), but altogether I really like the Joni Hair.

It’s one of the most chic hairstyle options with a real fun kid vibe to it. Essentially, it’s something I would wear on a day-to-day (if I was fashionable enough).

Pair it with some fun earrings and drop one of the funky color swatches in and it’s gamer girl time.

Honestly, I’d match this with the Y2K CAS background I added to my list.

15. Lucia Hair by Simstrouble

The Lucia Hair is another Sims 4 cc curly updo that will fit with cute earrings, especially if you love the top knot.

If you’re looking for a top knot that’s made with tight curls and adds a bit of flair.

I like this for formal occasions but it also matches casual style too!

16. Going So Low by LeeLeeSims1

If you’re looking for a cute ponytail but don’t want anything too pronounced, the Going So Low Hair is for you.

Not only is it base game compatible, but this is another of the curly hairstyles that come with 18 EA match color swatches (honestly, I only pick hair styles with Maxis Match options).

I really love this curly ponytail. But if that’s not quite what you’re looking for, the second option is a bow tied bun!

17. Naomi Hair by AHarris00Britney

The Naomi Hair has two side braids that end in ponytails, and it’s super cute.

There are two versions of this hairstyle — with and without the bangs. Both are base game compatible.

It comes with 24 Maxis Match colors, but you can also download the ombre add-on. The piece for which is found in accessories.

Either way, this sims 4 cc features tight curls and French braids. It’s super cute all around.

18. Up and Out Curls by Leeleesims1

If you want a bit of extra flair, the Up and Out Curls are for you.

It’s the perfect style if your curly-haired sims who want something fun and funky. Honestly, it feels like a bit of a historical throwback for me.

This hair cc works from ages teen to elder, and features hair recolors. If you want to kick boring hair out of your Sims 4 game, it’s the style for you.
