You can move your sims to a new lot. When you do this, you’ll have the choice to either sell all the furniture and items in the old house or take them with you to the new lot.

If you don’t want to keep anything from the old house, you can bulldoze the house to remove it completely. This will clear the lot and you can start fresh with a new building.
